Women in Business Initiative – March 2026

I. Organiser

The Women in Business Initiative (the “Initiative”) is organised by BeLegal Law Partnership, with its registered seat and address at: 38A Solunska St., Floor 1, Apt. 1, Sofia, Bulgaria (the “Organiser”).

The Initiative is held on the occasion of International Women’s Day and aims to support women who create, manage and develop sustainable businesses.

II. Application and Consultation Period

Applications are accepted from 2 March to 20 March 2026. Applications received outside this period may be considered provided that the consultation limit has not been reached (see Section VI).

Consultations will be provided during the period 8 March 2026 – 31 March 2026 inclusive, or until the allocated number of free consultations is exhausted — whichever occurs first.

III. Purpose of the Initiative

The Initiative aims to provide brief initial legal guidance on key issues arising in connection with:

  • starting a business;
  • structuring a start-up company;
  • regulating relations between partners/shareholders;
  • hiring employees and building a team;
  • protection of intellectual property;
  • compliance with basic regulatory requirements;
  • framework agreements.

The consultations are practical in nature and are intended to assist participants in understanding the applicable legal framework and possible next steps.

IV. Eligibility

The following may apply:

  • women entrepreneurs;
  • women founders of start-up companies;
  • women partners or managers in small and early-stage enterprises;
  • women managers or executive directors of start-up businesses.

Priority will be given to start-ups and early-stage companies (up to 3 years from registration).

The Organiser reserves the right to request brief information regarding the applicant’s business in order to assess eligibility and alignment with the objectives of the Initiative.

V. Scope of Consultations

Consultations may cover issues in the following areas:

  1. Corporate and Commercial Law
  • choice of legal form;
  • shareholder/partner relations;
  • basic contractual structures;
  • initial contractual framework.
  1. Employment Law
  • hiring employees;
  • remote work arrangements;
  • basic internal policies;
  • team structuring.
  1. Regulatory and Compliance Matters
  • core regulatory frameworks;
  • general guidance on personal data protection;
  • principal sector-specific requirements.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • trademark protection;
  • protection of know-how;
  • basic copyright principles;
  • contractual relations with external contractors.

VI. Format, Duration and Limit

  1. Up to 30 (thirty) free consultations will be provided in total under the Initiative.
  2. Each consultation shall have a maximum duration of up to 15 (fifteen) minutes, regardless of whether it is conducted:
    • verbally (online or in person), or
    • in the form of a brief written response to a specific question.
  3. The consultations constitute brief initial legal guidance and do not represent comprehensive legal services or a detailed legal analysis.
  4. Once the limit of 30 consultations has been reached, the Organiser shall not be obliged to provide additional free consultations, even if the Initiative period has not expired.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right to determine whether a specific matter can reasonably be addressed within a 15-minute consultation.

VII. Limitations

The Initiative does not include:

  • drafting or reviewing contracts or other legal documents;
  • detailed written legal opinions;
  • procedural representation;
  • participation in negotiations;
  • legal representation in court or administrative proceedings;
  • follow-up services beyond the consultation.

If further assistance is required, the parties may agree on separate legal services under BeLegal’s standard terms and conditions.

VIII. Application Procedure

To participate, applicants must send an email to:

Subject: Women in Business Initiative – Participation Request

The email should include:

  • a brief introduction of the applicant;
  • information about the business (if registered);
  • a short description of the question;
  • preferred format (verbal or written).

The Organiser will confirm receipt of the request and propose a date and format subject to availability and capacity.

IX. Conflict of Interest

A consultation cannot be provided in the event of a conflict of interest in accordance with the applicable professional rules. In such case, the Organiser shall notify the applicant without being obliged to disclose additional information.

X. Personal Data Protection

The information provided will be processed solely for the purposes of the Initiative and in accordance with applicable personal data protection legislation.

XI.Final Provisions

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these terms if necessary.

By sending an email to participate, the applicant declares that they have read and accept these terms.
